A healthy rule of thumb is to drink ½ your body weight in ounces daily of hydrating fluids, primarily water.
HEALTHY AND HYDRATING FLUIDS INCLUDE:
Water – drink room temperature, warm or hot. Limit ice cold water. Add fresh lemon or lime to your water.
Herbal Teas – not caffeinated
Mineral Water
Emergen C packets can be added to your water, I prefer lemon-lime.
Recharge is a natural electrolyte drink, found in health food stores.
Natural Sodas - in moderation.
Pure Cranberry Juice, unsweetened, small amounts can be added to water or Emergen C mixtures.
Not included in Hydrating fluids are:
Fruit juices, pop, soda, coffee, caffeinated teas or beverages, energy drinks, Gatorades or other colored sports drinks, Propels or other enhanced waters, dairy or soy based smoothies or shakes, wine, beer and other alcoholic drinks.
